About C3

The Chattanooga Change Center is an exciting grass-roots initiative to bring about positive change in the East Chattanooga area. This initiative is led by Tom Mott, Pastor of Powerhouse Ministries Church in East Chattanooga.

Chattanooga Matters and Unity in the Community - two local not-for-profit organizations -  have partnered with Pastor Mott to assist in the development and construction of the new Chattanooga Change Center.

The Center, once completed, will function as a community center and will provide area residents with information and resources that will challenge them to change in positive ways. The Center will offer knowledge through adult degree completion (GED) and higher-education courses; self-awareness through classes such as Anger and Health Management; empowerment via the development of job skills, courses on the interview process, and AA/NA meetings; and community engagement and impact, with youth mentoring programs, crime prevention seminars, Green Community education, and hands-on projects such as substandard housing rehab and Unity in the Community workdays. The Change Center will also collaborate with community partners to foster economic development throughout the area.
